Center of Berlin, Friedrichstrasse 58
History is never simply a matter of coincidence. When the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, it was seen as an opportunity. Germany was given back its old capital city and the capital city was given back its centre. In the very middle of »Mitte« is a building which is history itself - Mädler-Haus, built in 1908 by Robert Leibnitz and restored in 1998 by Cristiano Ceccato.
