Christine Hesse, Hesse Design
Christine Hesse, born in Innsbruck, gained her first professional experience as a production assistant at a film production company and as an art buyer and FFF producer at advertising agencies. She then worked for several years as a copywriter in a design studio. Christine Hesse completed an MBA with a focus on design strategy at the University of Westminster in London. Since 1988 she is co-owner and managing director of Hesse Design. From 1993 to 2000 she was a lecturer at the Peter Behrens School of Arts. Since 2016 she is visiting professor at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. Christine Hesse is a member of the Advisory Board of the Design Management Institute of Boston.
Prof. Klaus Hesse, Hesse Design
Prof. Klaus Hesse, born in Elberfeld, studied photography and typography at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. Afterwards he worked for many years as an art director in advertising agencies in Hamburg, Munich and Düsseldorf. Since 1988 he is co-owner and design director of Hesse Design. From 1993 to 98 he was professor for conception and design at the FH Dortmund. From 1999 to 2020 he continued his teaching activities at the University of Art and Design Offenbach (HfG). There he directed the art department as dean for seven years. Klaus Hesse is a member of the Type Directors Club of New York.
